Pink Wood primer is used as the first coat on all wood which is required to be finished in any preferred decorative paint. The main purpose of Pink Wood primer is to prevent moisture ingress which would results in distortions in the dimensions of the timber. Typical application of Pink Wood primer is on pine fascia boards to prevent them from warping if left for a considerable length of time before they are finished in gloss enamel. All wooden doors, both interior and exterior require Pink Wood primer as the first coat to prevent moisture ingress.
